On Wednesday, December 7, 2011, you’re invited to come “Explore the Arts: Pop Art and Andy Warhol” in Virginia Beach.

The event will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Central Library near the heart of Virginia Beach’s Town Center area. The address is 4100 Virginia Beach Boulevard, Virginia Beach, Virginia, 23452.

For the full experience, feel free to come “dressed for the occasion”. Put on your striped leggings and colored wigs and come learn about Andy, the pop artist and filmmaker. Those who attend will “observe samples of his work”.

Bring a co-worker, friend, or even family member. The event will be a social gathering as well as educational forum.

Andy, once famous for wearing his signature black polo neck jumper, once said: “I have Social Disease. I have to go out every night. If I stay home one night, I start spreading rumors to my dogs.”

Pop art will be the topic of discussion during the hour.

Those who attend will have the opportunity to create a pop art creation to take home! Warhol once said, “Everyone will be famous for 15 minutes.”

Ages 8-11 are welcome.

To register for this event, call the Central Library at (757) 385-0150.
